Choose UptimeRobot if
- You mostly watch websites and APIs and want 50 of them free at 5-minute intervals.
- You want a large ecosystem of integrations and a mature mobile app.
Choose Vivere if
- Your problem is jobs that stop running: cron expressions with timezones, grace periods, exit codes, durations and logs per run are the core product here, not an add-on.
- You want a wrapper CLI and copy-paste guides for schedulers and automation platforms.
- Signed webhook payloads and a JSON API are part of the free plan.
Using both
Plenty of teams keep UptimeRobot for public endpoints and use Vivere for the scheduled work behind them. Vivere's HTTP monitors exist so a small team can have one dashboard, not to replace a 50-monitor free tier.
